Inspired by the word "Bonds," our cozy, family-run diving shop was born from a desire to create lifelong connections with every guest through the beautiful waters of Okinawa. With the rich experience of our owner-instructor, Wataru, and the dedicated support and English-speaking guidance of Marina, our two-person team is fully committed to producing a spectacular and unforgettable day for you.

Important Notice: Since we run our tours in small groups, please check our availability before booking your flights and accommodations.

6:30 AM

Pick-up

We offer a Complimentary pick-up service for those staying at hotels within Naha City.

Pick-up times range from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM, and we will confirm your specific pick-up time after your dive site has been decided.
(For U.S.S. Emmons and Cape Hedo, the pick-up time in Naha might be around 5:45a.m. to 6:15 a.m.)

Once we pick you up, we will drive to the port. Some locations are within a 15-minute drive, while others, particularly those heading north, may take over an hour.

We will provide additional information once your dive site is confirmed.

7:30 AM

Arrive to the dive site

After we arrive at the port, we will prepare to set up our gear.

Please ensure that your tanks and equipment are in good condition before we depart.
If you are unsure how to set up your gear, we are more than happy to assist you.

We will inform you about what to bring on the ship. Some ships return to the port after each dive.

8:00 AM

Depature

Once everyone on the ship has their gear set, the boat crew will provide information about the ship.
We will translate what the boat crew says and what we should be careful about during the cruise.

9:00 AM

Arrive at the dive spot and Dive1

Upon arriving at the dive site, we will provide a briefing about the location.
The selection of the dive site will depend on the sea conditions for that day.

After the briefing, ensure your gear is ready for diving, and let's enjoy the diving in Okinawa!

10:30 AM

Dive 2

After the first dive, we will take a break. We will then move to the other dive site for the briefing before diving into the second dive.

12:00 PM

Lunch

Time for lunch!

(Please note that we do not provide lunch boxes, so you will need to prepare your lunch before pick-up.)

If you have booked the 2-dive package, we can arrange visits to some local restaurants after the dive. We will inform you the day before your tour date about whether you need to bring a lunch box or not.

Dive 3

We will move on to the next dive site.
Again, make sure your gears are all set to go!

2:00 PM

Packing and head back to Naha

After our dive, we will use the prepared water to rinse off the salt before getting into the car. If there is a washing area available, we will clean the dive gear on-site. Once everything is packed, we will head back to Naha.

If you are meeting us on-site, so feel free to explore and enjoy the rest of your sightseeing adventures!

The drop-off time varies, so if you are planning something afterward, make sure to book it after 6 PM or so. We never know; we might get stuck in heavy traffic!

【Shore】

What is Shore Diving?
Literally, beach diving means walking straight into the ocean right from the shore!
One of the best things about beach diving in Okinawa is that the walking distance to the entry point is relatively short, making it super easy and stress-free.

"Do I have to swim far to see the good spots?"
— Not at all! Right after you step into the water, a kaleidoscope of colorful tropical fish will be there to welcome you.
Okinawa’s dive sites offer a great variety, ranging from shallow waters to deeper spots right near the shore.

For Beginners (Try Scuba Diving) & Refresh Divers: This style is highly recommended! There is no need to worry about time. We can tailor the tour's pace to your comfort level.

For Experienced Divers & Underwater Photographers: Beach diving allows you to take your time, focus on that perfect shot, or enjoy a long, relaxing dive.

Okinawa Main Island is packed with an incredible variety of boat diving sites!

One of the best parts is that every spot offers a completely different underwater view.

★The biggest advantage of boat diving is that the boat takes you directly to the main dive site. You don’t have to worry about long walks carrying heavy gear, making it perfect for anyone concerned about physical stamina.

Instead of owning a single boat that limits us to one area, we use local shared charter boats. This gives us the ultimate flexibility to select the absolute best point for that day, depending on the sea conditions, matching your specific requests, and skill level!

By utilizing these shared boats, we can guide you anywhere from Cape Hedo in the north to Itoman in the south. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced diver, we have the perfect spot for you. We carefully select spacious, comfortable boats so you can relax and enjoy the stunning Okinawan scenery on the way to the dive sites. If it's your first time diving from a boat, don't worry at all! We will carefully guide you through all the entry techniques step by step.

Medical History & Questionnaire (Part 1)
Please carefully review the Medical Questionnaire before your trip and submit it to us via email after booking. Original Copy: Please bring the printed original copy with you on the day of your dive, as we will collect it at the shop.Changes in Health: If you experience any changes in your physical condition or health status after submitting the form, please inform us immediately.
Flying After Diving Requirements:
After completing 2 or more dives in a single day, or diving on consecutive days, you must wait at least 18 hours before flying. Important Policy: In the event that your scheduled flight leaves less than 18 hours after your last dive, we will strictly refuse your participation in the tour for your own safety. Furthermore, the standard cancellation fee will be charged in accordance with our cancellation policy.
Medical History & Questionnaire (Part 2)
Depending on your answers to the Medical Questionnaire, you may be required to provide a physician's medical clearance.

For Guests Aged 60 and Over: You must take the "Physician’s Evaluation Form" on page 3 to your primary care doctor for a medical check-up. Please submit a copy to us via email in advance and bring the printed original with you on the day of your dive.
Hotel Arrangements and Breakfast:

Please note that our early morning pick-up time may fall outside your hotel’s breakfast hours.
Recommendation: We cannot change the pick-up or tour schedule to accommodate hotel breakfast times. Therefore, we highly recommend booking your hotel accommodation without the breakfast plan.
Please note: If you have already booked a room with breakfast, our shop cannot provide alternative meals or adjust the schedule for you.
Medical History & Questionnaire (Part 3)

If you have experienced any changes in your physical or medical condition within the past year, we require an additional evaluation and clearance from a doctor who specializes in diving medicine. How to find a diving doctor: You can search for diving medical specialists through the DAN (Divers Alert Network) website. For those looking for doctors in Japan, you can check the DAN JAPAN "DDNET" list, or contact your local regional DAN office (such as DAN Asia-Pacific, DAN America, etc.) for a referral.
Complimentary Pick-up Areas & Details:
Free hotel pick-up is available for guests staying in Naha City.
However, please note that we cannot provide pick-up in the following districts due to location constraints:
❌ Shuri / Shikina / Oroku / Akamine areas.

Our Request: Please inform our shop of your hotel name ahead of time. For those staying in a condominium-style accommodation, please send us the exact address so we can locate your pick-up spot more easily.

Please note: Our response may be delayed if we are out on a tour or if the previous day was our regular shop holiday. Because of this, we kindly ask that you send your inquiries as early as possible.

Cancellation Policy

Tour Cancellation Policy Due to Sea Conditions:

Tour Cancellation Policy

1. Weather and Sea Conditions:

If sea conditions are deemed unsafe or unstable on the day of your activity, we may cancel the tour. In this event, no cancellation fee will be charged.
Please Note: If you cancel the tour on your own judgment after we have determined it is safe to operate, our standard cancellation fee will apply, and your deposit will not be refunded.

2. Alcohol Consumption and Sleep Deprivation:

For your safety, we kindly ask all participants to refrain from heavy drinking the night before and to get plenty of rest so you can enjoy your dive in the best possible condition.On the day of your activity, if our staff determines that you are unfit to dive due to the effects of alcohol or severe lack of sleep, we reserve the right to refuse your participation.Cancellation Charge: Please note that if you are turned away for any of the following reasons, it will be treated as a same-day cancellation, and you will be charged in full per our cancellation policy.

3. Medical Conditions and Certification:

Participants are required to disclose all relevant medical history prior to the tour. If you have a pre-existing condition that requires medical clearance, you must present a valid physician's signed medical statement before diving.We reserve the right to refuse your participation if:You fail to disclose a medical condition beforehand.You do not possess the required medical certification on the day of the tour.Cancellation Charge: In such cases, the standard cancellation fee will apply.

Rental Gear & Wetsuit Care Guidelines:

We offer a wide range of rental gear sizes to fit all of our guests. If you need to rent equipment, please send us your height, weight, and shoe size in advance to: 📩 bonz.okinawa@gmail.com

No Day-Before Fittings Available:
At our shop, we do not conduct gear fittings on the day prior to the tour. All equipment is prepared and checked in advance based on the measurements you provide.
Please note: If you forgot to include your sizes in your initial application, please be sure to submit your measurements to us as soon as possible so we can guarantee a proper fit for your dive.

Our Commitment to Safety & Gear Inspection at Bonz. Okinawa:
Your safety is our top priority. We inspect all of our diving equipment daily and send it to professional maintenance specialists once or twice a year for a complete overhaul. Our Request to You: While we take every precaution with our gear management, we kindly ask all guests to double-check their own equipment before entering the water.

Help Us Protect Our Gear (Eco-Friendly & Sustainable Shop Initiative)
At Bonz. Okinawa, we strive to be a sustainable and eco-friendly diving shop. If you are using our rental wetsuits, we kindly ask for your cooperation in keeping the wetsuits free of sunscreen underneath.

Once sunscreen sticks to a wetsuit, it is extremely difficult to wash out. To ensure that the next guest can use the suit comfortably, we deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Tip: Wearing a rash guard under your wetsuit is an excellent way to protect your skin from the sun without damaging your wetsuit!

Of all the dives we've ever done, Bonz. Okinawa gave us the most memorable and personable diving experience. We felt genuinely cared for from start to finish. Prior to our dive, Marina reached out to discuss dive site preference and took the time to explain all the pros and cons of the options. After picking us up from our hotel in Naha, she went above and beyond to welcome and acquaint us to Okinawa by pointing out restaurant recommendations and tourist sites along the drive to the port. She showed us hospitality and generosity and even prepared a surprise for us because we dove on my husband's birthday and my birthday was 3 days prior! The dives themselves were fantastic.

If you ever decide to dive in Okinawa, dive with Bonz! Marina and Wataru picked me up in Naha, drove me all the way to the best diving spot for that day, and were so kind refreshing my knowledge. They gently guide you with patience so that you can be independent and confident in diving. Okinawa is beautiful, it’s like being inside an acquarium. Marina takes pictures and tells you all about the creatures you just saw. She lived abroad so her English is fluent, which is of course essential for good communication. You can feel how passionate they are about this! We also chatted all the time and shared stories. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Great dive center with a very personal atmosphere! Marina and her husband, Wataru, were super friendly and attentive, and thanks to the small dive group on both days, we had a really relaxed diving experience. The dive spots were amazing, very quiet, and full of marine life, which made the dives even more special. Marina spoke excellent English and took a lot of time for us, both in advance during communication and later with tips about Okinawa. The free photos and videos they took of us were a very pleasant surprise. We would definitely dive with them again!
